Education

A quality education system has broad positive effects – both for the individual and for society at large – that go beyond the creation and retention of jobs. In recognition of education’s wide-ranging impacts, RIPEC produces a number of reports on the status of education and education reform in the Ocean State and continues to be at the forefront of education policy in the State. RIPEC’s work, such as the annual Results Report, has provided taxpayers and policymakers with clear information regarding school spending and revenue patterns, student performance and enrollment patterns throughout the State. RIPEC has also led efforts to reform the State’s school funding structure and has published a number of research reports on the financing of education.
